Lost Soldier

The end is coming near and everything will soon be over came in the shadows. Peoples screams will be the only thing that you hear. Pain will be the only thing that you will seek or hear throughout this time of sadness. The hell beneath us will rise and devour us. The soldiers that wait without hesitation are the saviors to the mortal kind. These saviors are the ones who are suppose to be willing to put their lives on the line just for a measly mortal who can’t even raise a fist to such insanity. The demons are the ones who go out of their way to gain a bit of attention from the saviors. The saviors have all kinds of abilities that separate them from one another. Which means each savior is unique. The powers are based upon ones ancestor. Which the only way for a savior to gain their power is for their line ancestor to die. The power will go to the second kin from their death.

It is said that the hell beneath us will rise within the next 12 years. The flames will devour the likes of this planet and all who is mortal will succumb to the darkness and they will become what we fight. The saviors that sit with nothing to do, no training, and never willing to think that the time is near, they now have 15 years of power they must control and awaken yet again.

I am Delana and I am a savior, well suppose to be that is. I mean my grandmother hasn’t hit the ground yet. Even though that is a mean way to say that but it’s the god’s honest truth. She is 95 years old and I am pretty damn sure she won’t be able to fight in the next 9 years nor 12. It is said that a savior needs at least 6 years with their powers in order to gain enough control where when they use their powers they won’t blow this crude world to fucking shreds. I don’t like this planet it is disgusting. The mortals are such complainers and it’s just so damn dreadful to know their world is never going to be the world they want it to be. As a matter of fact, as long as my grandmother lives and she can barely walk, the mortals will all become the demons that I know lurks beneath their insolence. My grandmother has the power of fire and levitation. She herself was known as the strongest savior of them all. She could lift a demon in mid-air and then put a raging ball of fire around the beast body burning it till its ungodly body looks like the coal at the bottom of a fire place. I love knowing of the cruelty we gave those beasts, but I hate knowing the gift of life we give to these mortals. I live on this planet to learn about these people. My superiors told me that if I am not willing to understand these dreadful creatures I will never be able to gain my powers to protect these people. Which I know that is a complete load of bullshit, because that old fart of a grandma will die eventually and I am next in line.

“Delana get your ass over here right now or you’re fucking fired!!” my boss Ricardo screaming at me while he threw the plastic dishes at me and nearly hitting my face. “You actually think I give a flying shit?” I screamed right back using the nastiest look I can manage and since I already hate this man more than anything I am pretty sure it was always the best to my abilities to freak the hell out of this mortal. I just continued to walk away and each step I took the redder his face got. I smiled and then turned around. Ricardo was now stepping back into the kitchen. I laughed and then walked 4 blocks before I rammed myself into some man that smelled very sensual for some odd reason. “Watch it you dickwad!” I screamed that louder than I was even meaning it to be. “Well… umm… I’m sorry but I’m afraid you walked into me.” “You could have moved to dodge me.” I was getting a little frustrated now because he was talking to me as if I was his friend. I am no mortals friend. I am only here to protect this planet from the darkness nothing more and it was so damn aggravating that he would even try to talk to me like I am just like him. “Well I am sorry to say this miss but you were a fucking speed trap and nobody could have dodged your damn walking. So next time you watch where the hell you are going and then maybe somebody might be pleased!” he said it with such fierceness and it proved my logic was right. Behind their masks of innocence there is the demon that lurks beneath. That’s what made this damn planet so easy to be over come by the darkness. “Seems your not all that you cut out to be, why so nice then so cruel? You think you’re beyond me? Well sorry but you won’t ever compare to the likes of me!” I said stomping off. “So in which that means your better than me right Savior” he said that with a sort of threatening kind of voice. One that would say if you dare I know how to stop you. I stopped dead in my tracks and just stared at him in astonishment. Our kind, the saviors, they are suppose to be unknown, a secret, if that is true how in the hell would a mortal know about us. “How in the hell do you know about the saviors?” I looked at him now with great sadness. He was either the demon within him or he was one of the saviors that gained his powers already. He just smiled and then walked off. I was so confused I just stood there. After about 5 minutes and my head began to hurt thinking trying to find out who the hell he was, I decided that I might need to find out because I could be putting my life in jeopardy when I gain my powers. I ran as fast as I could but I couldn’t find this man. “Damn it! Why the hell did I stop!” I screamed at myself and then turned around and began to stomp off. Before I could even take a step or even take a breath he was there inches from my face and I can feel the fire within him burning. As if he was ready for a fight. I became a little scared and began to back away slowly so that way if he was a demon and he wanted me dead I could at least get a few feet away from him. I was no match for a demon being mortal without powers in all. “I’m sorry for being a bitch but please can we have a real match when I gain my powers?” He looked at me and then frowned. "You were being a bitch? I thought that was the way all Saviors act, ridiculous and mediocre." I was getting angry again. "I am not ridiculous and I am not a full Savior. I haven't gained my powers." He started to smile and then place his hand on my shoulder and squeezed it so hard I heard bones popping. I screamed in agony wanting this to stop, but I also needed to know what he is, a demon or a Savior.
I didn't even know that I passed out, but I guess I did. My shoulder hurts so bad and this alley smells horrible. I get up off the ground and slowly searched for a wall to hope that it will help me gain my balance. When I find one, I ram my shoulder into the metal ladder leading up to the next floor of the junky mortal motel. I ramed it so hard that I ended up screaming to the tops of my lungs, where everyone who wasn't awake was officially awake now, because they all lead out their windows and started screaming at me. I didn't hear much because the pain was darkening my vision. I began to losing my footing and slid down the wall, breathing really hard, and had tears welling up, I wanted to cry. How weak am I? I am just like these lousy mortals. As my vision came back I had a sudden jolt that felt like electricity running it's course though my body, it didn't hurt, but also didn't feel fantastic. As it coursed though my body I had the sudden feel to run home. Like there was danger there. So I ran as fast as I could. As I was running it did not seem as if I was running out of breath, felt like I has plenty. I wasn't getting tired. I had a feeling that might have been an Adrenaline rush, but I don't fully know. When I reached my house, I had the sense that I was being watched. I turned around and there he was, the man who broke my shoulder. Man did I wish I had my powers. He smiled at me and then pointed to my house but on his hands were blood. I looked at his hand in astonishment and fear. I wasn't sure as to what he wanted me to do, but I followed his hand and saw my house burning. I screamed and went running again. Once I reached my steps the room of my house collapsed. I cried loudly and tried to dig through the rubble while it was still on fire. It burned my hands to the point where it was just blood and muscle. I kept digging. I couldn't feel the pain. I was afraid, my family is in there and I had no capability to get them out. After about 20 minutes of digging I gave up, not only because the fire was out, but also because this man was standing behind me. I got off the ground and looked at him in the face. "Who in the hell do you think you are, you motherfucker!" I screamed as I pulled my fist back and punched him so hard in the face that he flew 30 feet from me. I jumped in the air with all my force and then landed right above him as I continued to punch him as hard and as fast as I could. I could hear his nose breaking and his teeth grinding. I began to scream and then without knowing it, I fell down on his chest and began to cry. He placed his hands on my back and began to rub lightly, up and down. It was comforting, but still to say I am a moron because this man just killed my family, how could I find this comforting. Even with that going through my mind I couldn't help but enjoy it.
I heard a loud crash noise and got up off of this man in a jolt and was about to run, but not before he grabbed me by the arm and forced me not to be able to move. He looked me in the face looking as if he could cry himself. "No, it is not what you think it is, if you go near the house it will kill you like your family." I tilted my head and then jarred my hand away. "What are you talking about? You killed them." He reached out and then put his hand back down just as quickly as he brought it up. "Fine do as you please, you will learn little Savior." I turned around , "The name is Delana, not little Savior." He smiled and said, "and mine is Dalik, and who I am you will learn once you learn to believe me." I rolled my eyes and then ran back to what use to be my house. I heard a loud screech just before I touched my front lawn, and then, there it was.

DALIK

As the giant black winged figure launched itself into the air, it screeched so loud it made the ground quake under me. With it the trees fell to the ground as if the force of this beasts scream willed them to die just automatically. I heard the one named Delana scream that was by far blood curdling. As she screamed it seemed as if the beast was enthralled by this so as she screamed the beast spread its wings farther apart and screeched even louder. I was getting tired of this noise so I let the power take hold of me. I first felt the electricity with made my body gain erect cold chills that made me launch myself into the air allowing my wings to spread. My wings were black with red streaks in them. I was known as a Archangel, a messenger of god, but then I was sent here to protect my father's wishes. To tell him how his creations were doing and to protect them from the doings of my brother, Lucifer.

Make-belief

If everything that was said led to us just being okay, how would that make us sane?
If everything that was forgotten be left for our shame, how would that be deranged?
Like the unbearable existence of the way we fought.
Like the way we sought to be more than what we needed to be.
Together it could be done.
With one another we could pretend to be all that we've ever perceived.
But when two hearts falter, left to pivot on where to go next...
That's when the make-belief sets in.

without end

again we pretended nothing could compare. again we thought worlds were combined by air. again we were proven o so wrong beyond compare. o again and again we lent no tear, shared no sorrow, stood on hollow ground. again we were mistaken. again we were driven from fear, self loathing, torn from despair. again and again but yet we were never there.
